Noted choreographer dancer Rajit Dev has made a name of himself already. On the work front, Rajit has choreographed and directed the female version of “Pachtaoge”. He has worked with Nora for “Pepeta” and also “Taki taki”. He has also choreographed Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Panday’s song “Tehas nehas” for the movie “Khaali Peeli” and also worked with Ranveer Singh for commercials. Rajit’s Bijlee Bijlle with Palak Tiwari and Harrdy Sandhu have created magic. On the occasion of International Dance Day Rajit speaks about his emotions for his craft.

He says, ”It’s time that we celebrate dance not only as a passion but also a profession. Back in the days when people used to be criticised for being a dancer, are now looking at it with much more respect. It’s a difficult art form. It requires years and years to become a professional dancer. This day is to celebrate and educate people what dance really means. Dance for me is life. I’m blessed to have this art form and get up everyday looking forward to create something new which will be remembered forever.”

Which has been your most fondest memory of any of your song?

“This time I would definitely wanna talk about Bijlee Bijlee which we shot in Russia. It’s dear to me is because I met lovely artist Harrdy Sandhu and the association became a hit. The song has also got a global appreciation which makes me even more thankful to my craft.”

Speaking about his dream with dance now Rajit says, ”I would like to explore more as a dancer. Because there’s so much more to learn and mostly to spread the awareness and knowledge about dance.”

Rajit’s forthcoming song would be  Dynamite which he has choreographed for singer Bhanushali . There’s one more song which he has teamed up with  singer Rahul Vaidya.

On asking about his all time favourite dancer Dev shares, ”I love Hrithik Roshan. I love all his work. He’s one of the reasons I love dancing so much. His movements are too good and he justifies his presence in all his songs.”

Lastly the successful choreographer shares his tips for the budding choreographer. “I would like to tell them never give up on your dreams. Have patience and give your best for  every song you do.”
