Places to See in Ranthambore National Park

Ranthambore National Park is an ideal place to go if you are interested in wildlife. The park is located near Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan, and it is known for the leopards and tigers that live in its pristine environment. You can also see marsh crocodiles and other animals in the park.

Jogi Mahal

The Jogi Mahal is a very beautiful guest house located at Ranthambore National Park. This is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the Sawai Madhopur region of Rajasthan. Located at the foothills of the Ranthambore Fort, the Jogi Mahal offers a secluded and relaxing atmosphere to visitors.

Visitors can spend their time viewing the wildlife at the Padam Talao, the largest lake in the Ranthambore National Park. This lake gets its name from the blooming lotuses in its waters.

During the royal period, the Jogi Mahal served as a hunting lodge for royal households. It also provided an abode for different Jaipur Maharajas. After the decline of the Maharajas, the Jogi Mahal was converted into a guest house for visitors.

Nahargarh Ranthambore

Nahargarh Ranthambore National Park offers a wonderful blend of nature, royalty and luxury. This upscale hotel is located near the Ranthambhore national park and features a lavish Mughal-style garden. It is ideal for a vacation or honeymoon.

The ruins are made up of stone buildings and arches. They are located on the banks of the lakes of Padam Talao and Raj Bagh Talao.

Apart from being an ideal destination for photography, the site offers the opportunity to discover the rich history of the region. Visitors can also witness tigers which are frequently spotted hiding in the ruins.

The ruins are spread across the region and have various structures. These include shattered towers and arches. In addition, they offer a glimpse of the mystical atmosphere of the region.

Padam Talao

Padam Talao is one of the most renowned wildlife spotting areas of Ranthambore National Park. It serves as a prime watering place for many animals in the park. Besides being home to tigers, it is also a popular spot for crocodiles.

The area is rich in flora and fauna, and it is known for its rare species of wildlife. The sambhar deer have adapted to eating plants from the lake floor. There are egrets that can be seen riding on the sambhar deer. Other animals that can be spotted include Indian chameleons, black-tailed pythons, and monitor lizards.

A large number of migratory birds visit this area. They include raptors, egrets, and herons.

Trinetra Ganesh Temple

The Trinetra Ganesh Temple in Ranthambore National Park is a popular pilgrimage site in Rajasthan. It is said to be the oldest temple in India. King Hammer constructed it in 1300 AD. He was a devoted devotee of Lord Ganesh. In a dream, he saw the idol of the god.

Since the idol of Ganesh was made of red Karauli stone, it is believed that it is at least a thousand years old. As a result, it has great historical value.

This temple is also one of the most famous in the country. A huge number of marriage invitation cards are sent to it during the season of marriage. There are five aartis conducted at this temple each day.

Khem Vilas resort

Khem Villas is a resort near Ranthambore National Park. It is situated in thick forests, grasslands, and twelve acres of water bodies. The resort is a perfect place for bird-watching.

Khem Villas is an eco-chic paradise for nature lovers. Its rooms are comfortable and well-furnished. They are equipped with air conditioning, private terraces, and en-suite bathrooms. Ayurvedic treatments are also offered at the resort.

The resort features a library and bar. Guests can also enjoy block printing activities with the nearby Daskar crafts organization. Nature walks of 3 km are offered at the resort. Guests can also take part in river safaris.
