“Pathfinder Rock Creek has both the style and hardware to create an adventure just about anywhere,” Nissan U.S. marketing and sales boss Michael Colleran said in a statement.
Nissan hopes to communicate the Pathfinder’s ruggedness and capability to younger, adventure-seeking customers, said Sam Fiorani, vice president at AutoForecast Solutions, told Automotive News.
“Kitting up the Rock Creek trim with options and accessories for exploring the back roads, the Pathfinder should find buyers who need something more civilized than the hard-core competition,” Fiorani said, “and yet allow them to head out into the mountains when the desire hits.”
