Navarre Beach, Florida – Explore the Gulf Coast Region With Kayaks and Paddleboards

Navarre Beach is a great place to visit. It’s got a lot to offer, including water activities, a pier, and even a marine park and science station. You can also get your fix on the beach by exploring the area with kayaking or paddleboarding.

Kayak and paddleboarding

If you are looking for a bit of adventure in the Gulf Coast region, check out the paddle and kayak rental options in Navarre. While most of the locals prefer to hit the beach for a day in the sun, some of the best paddlings in the area is found in the Blackwater River State Forest.

Besides the usual suspects like Pensacola Bay, you will also find a number of smaller tributaries ranging in size from the tiny to the massive. A trip to the far reaches of Blackwater Creek might require some planning, but the rewards will be well worth it. This is a great place to do some light paddling and enjoy some of the local flavors of the area.

In addition to the paddling mecca of Blackwater River State Forest, you might want to consider a jaunt to the Gulf Islands National Seashore, which is located only a few miles away. It is a coastal sanctuary with a myriad of amenities, including bike paths that connect you to the mainland.

Marine park & science station

Navarre Beach Marine Park and Science Station is a great place to learn about the marine ecosystem. It is located in Santa Rosa County, Florida. The park has a variety of activities and attractions. These include guided tours, a pier, an observation tower, and kayak launching pads.

In addition to being a beautiful spot to enjoy the outdoors, the park is also home to endangered and threatened species. A visit here will teach you about the important role the Gulf of Mexico plays in our lives.

This park is also perfect for diving and snorkeling. There are three artificial reefs on the site. One of them is on the gulf side, while the other two are in the Santa Rosa Sound.

During the day, the park is open from dawn to dusk. On weekends, visitors can take a guided tour. The tour gives a 60-minute preview of the facility. The tour includes a microscope, touch tanks, and learning about local marine life.

Sea turtle conservatory

The Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservatory is an organization that seeks to protect and study Florida’s coastal marine sea turtles. They are largely volunteer-run and are open to the public year-round. In addition to conserving threatened species, the center also provides educational opportunities to visitors.

They have an educational gift shop, a dolphin discovery center, and a seahorse habitat. Visitors will find a number of interactive activities that illustrate the importance of saving our coral reefs. There is also an aquarium with jellyfish and an artificial reef.

The Shark Tooth Treasure Hunt allows visitors to learn about the benefits of an artificial reef while also finding fossilized shark teeth that are estimated to be 55 to 65 million years old. Their store has a variety of sea turtle themed gifts and coastal-inspired home decor.

Pier

The Pier at Navarre Beach is an attraction for locals and tourists. It is one of the largest and longest fishing piers in Florida.

The Pier is 30 feet high and 1,545 feet long. Visitors can fish and watch for dolphins, sea turtles, stingrays, and schools of fish.

The Pier offers a private bait and tackle shop where you can rent poles. There are also restrooms and showers available. During the summer, the Pier opens at 5:00 AM and closes at 10:00 PM.

In addition to the fishing pier, visitors can enjoy the beautiful beach. Several stand-up paddleboarders and kite surfers make this a popular spot to hang out.

Navarre Beach is a laid-back, peaceful, and fun place to hang out. This area of the Emerald Coast is known for its natural beauty and 360-degree views.

Wibit Waterpark

One of the more unique waterparks in the Gulf Coast region is the Wibit Waterpark. It is a huge inflatable aquapark that is open to the public and suited to all ages. The park features several slides, a giant jumping wheel, and a floating jungle ropes course.

Another fun way to spend an afternoon is to book a trip to Navarre Beach. This seaside destination offers white sandy beaches, water sports, and a serene environment. Many visitors flock to the area for its fishing and boating opportunities. Aside from the obvious swimming and surfing, there are also tours of old forts and other sites of interest.

In fact, Navarre is home to three watersports operators. Sage Paddle Co., Navarre Beach Ski & Sail, and FlyTheBoat offer an array of activities for the entire family. They offer rentals of jet skis, pontoon boats, kayaks, and paddle boards.
