Can you believe it?! Kim Kardashian isn’t over her high from Monday’s Met Gala! Last night Kimmy popped out wearing Marilyn Monroe’s iconic “Happy Birthday” Mr. President dress, from when she sang to John F. Kennedy in 1962. However, the moment isn’t over just yet. Kimmy is back in the headlines once again after receiving a unique gift. Before the gala, she took a trip to Ripley’s Believe or Not, she was given a lock of Marilyn’s hair.
“I’m gonna clone her,” said the SKIMS owner. “Oh, my God. I’m literally going to do some crazy voodoo s**t to channel her,” she said. “This is so special to me. Thank you so much. This is so cool. Wow, this is sleeping with me every night.” According to US Weekly, Amanda Joiner, Vice President of publishing and licensing for Ripley’s, said, “We really appreciated her partnership and felt that she was a great partner with Ripley’s Believe It or Not! for us to be able to retell the Marilyn Monroe story to a new generation.”
Amanda added, “We have 25,000 exhibits in Ripley’s, and when we’re working with partners, we want to show them our quirky side as well — and so that was the gift that we chose to give to her.” The museum is responsible for allowing Kim to borrow the famous Jean Louis dress for the gala. As we previously reported, Kim lost 16 pounds to be able to fit into the dress. Outside of all eyes on Kim for her iconic look, they focused on her date, boyfriend Pete Davidson.
