We’re finally getting a closer look at Jug Jugg Jeeyo, a highly anticipated family drama directed by Raj Mehta. The film’s star-studded cast comprises Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Maniesh Paul, and Prajakta Koli. While a slew of the family entertainer’s posters arrived last week, the makers have now dropped videos of the main cast. 

The official handle of Dharma Productions has shared a bunch of videos in which the film’s cast introduces their characters, offering a glimpse of what’s in store. Check out the videos here: 

First up, we meet Anil Kapoor’s Bheem who introduces himself as a “self-obsessed” man who also loves the world. We then meet Neetu Kapoor’s Geeta who believes that the family’s happiness is the most important thing.

Varun Dhawan’s character Kuku is introduced as a “dil se ameer” Punjabi guy, while Kiara Advani’s Naina describes herself as a heart-stealer.

We also get a glimpse of Maniesh Paul’s Gurpreet Singh and Prajakta Koli’s Ginny, who is the youngest member of the family.

Jug Jugg Jeeyo is billed as a family story that revolves around generations of one family as they navigate marriage. The film marks Varun Dhawan’s return to the big screen after the pandemic. Karan Johar had earlier shared the first teaser with the caption, “It’s a family reunion you can’t miss – filled with surprises, emotions and a whole lot of drama!” 

While the character videos offer an insight into the plot, the full trailer is yet to arrive and is reportedly set to launch on May 22. The film will be released in theatres on June 24 this year.
