Jada Pinkett-Smith Makes A Post On Social Media About Healing Following The Oscars Incident
[ad_1]
It has been two days since Will Smith walked up on the Oscars stage and introduced his hand to Chris Rock’s face in defense of his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith. Jada has been publicly silent about the incident, but on Tuesday she made her first social media post seemingly addressing the incident.
On Tuesday, Jada shared a quote on her Instagram account that simply read, “This is a season for healing and I’m here for it.”
The post wasn’t accompanied by a caption to further elaborate on the message. However, many fans took the post as she is ready to heal and move on from the situation.
If you’ve been under a rock, on Sunday, during the Oscars live telecast, Will Smith smacked Chris Rock after he made a J.I. Jane joke in reference to Jada’s haircut. The camera showed Will and Jada’s faces after the joke, and she didn’t look amused by it. Will then told Chris to keep Jada’s name out of his mouth, after returning to his seat.
In the past, Jada has been open with her supporters about her struggles with alopecia.
As we previously reported, last December, Jada shared a video on social media where she opened up about her struggles with alopecia. At the time she showed off a line that had formed on her scalp and she said, “Mama’s gonna have to take it down to the scalp so nobody thinks she got brain surgery or something. Me and this alopecia are going to be friends … period!”
Late Monday, Will posted a formal apology to Chris Rock, the Academy, the producers of the show, the show’s attendees, and the viewers around the world.
