How To Clean a Microwave Oven

Are you dependent on your microwave?

There’s no denying a microwave oven’s a necessity in modern life. For example, you can’t heat your coffee in a regular pot, nor can you warm your lunch from the office in a toaster oven.

When using your microwave, it can be messy. Luckily, cleaning a microwave doesn’t have to be daunting. If you’re interested in learning how to clean a microwave oven, then you’re in the right place!

Clean Your Microwave with Dish Soap

If your microwave needs a good cleaning, start by mixing dish soap and water in a bowl. Then, use a clean cloth to wipe down the inside of your microwave. You may need a toothbrush or other small brush to get into all the nooks and crannies.

Once you’ve wiped down the inside of your microwave, use a clean, damp cloth to wipe down the outside. Then, use a dry cloth to buff the outside of your microwave until it’s shining.

Clean Your Microwave Oven with Foam Sponges

Once everything is out, wipe down the inside of the oven with a damp microfiber cloth. Be sure to get the top, bottom, and sides. If there is any built-up food or grease, use a non-abrasive cleaner or all-purpose cleaner.

To clean the turntable, wash it in the sink with hot, soapy water. Apply the cleaner to a rag or sponge and wipe away the grime. Rinse the cleaning solution off with a damp cloth.

Rinse it off and dry it before putting it back in the oven. Finally, clean the outside of the microwave oven with a damp cloth. If there are any hard-to-remove stains, use an all-purpose cleaner.

Clean Your Microwave Oven With Vinegar

Vinegar is a natural disinfectant that will help remove any built-up grease or grime. To clean with vinegar, put a bowl of vinegar in the microwave oven and turn it on for a few minutes. Then, using a clean cloth, wipe down the inside of the oven.

Clean Your Microwave Oven With Hydrogen Peroxide

Hydrogen peroxide is often used as a natural cleaning solution because it is gentle and effective. When diluted, it can be used on surfaces such as countertops, inside the fridge, and even in the microwave.

To clean your microwave with hydrogen peroxide, mix equal parts of water and hydrogen peroxide in a bowl. Then, dampen a clean rag or sponge in the mixture and use it to wipe down the inside of the microwave.

Clean Your Microwave Oven With Baking Soda

Microwave oven cleaning can be done with baking soda, and remove any food or grease from the surface with a damp cloth. Next, make a paste with baking soda and water, and apply it to the inside of the oven with a sponge. Finally, rinse the oven clean with water.
