Here’s what Shah Rukh Khan has to say about collaborating with women for work

Shah Rukh Khan has always been vocal about how respectful he is towards women because of how his upbringing has been. He has spent the majority of his childhood growing up amidst women. He has a massive female fan following and over the years they have only continued to grow in number. Recently, the actor who is making headlines for the announcements of his back-to-back releases had an old video surfaced online where he speaks of how his bond is with the women he works with.
He has always been vocal about how all the women in his life have always taught him to graciously request acceptance from women but never forcibly get a yes out of them on projects. He had shared the same as he attended the World Economic Forum Event back in 2018.
A very important statement said by him at the event was quoted by a leading entertainment publication that stated, “I was 14 when my father died, so I had a mother. My mother had no brothers and her father had passed away. So I had three aunts and a grandmother. And then my mother passed away. Then I had a wife and then I had a daughter. And in between these two, I started working with all the girls in the country when I became an actor.”
Furthermore, he added, “The whole idea of what a woman is changed when I started working with all the girls that I worked with. They work harder than I do. They come four or five hours before I even land on sets. They are somehow considered secondary in the scheme of things of this film world. It’s a man’s world. And they’ve taught me that I have to request them to get a yes out of them, sometimes implore, many times beg, but never, never to force a yes out of them.”
Shah Rukh Khan has always been known for his charming and respectful demeanour. This interview snippet is further proof of why women all over the world continue to admire him.
