Chevy’s EV cadence will speed up sooner, but all of its large nameplates will continue to offer gasoline powertrains through 2026.

“We’re now coming to market with an EV onslaught that compliments some really fantastic ICE portfolio today and will continue to invest in the portfolio for years to come,” said Steve Majoros, vice president of Chevy marketing.

The brand plans to launch the Blazer EV and Equinox EV crossovers next year and will discontinue the Bolt EV and EUV powered by previous-generation batteries in 2023 and 2024. The Bolts likely will be replaced by similar-sized, Ultium-powered EVs. GM and Honda Motor Co. partnered to co-develop a line of affordable crossovers starting in 2027.

Silverado EV: The work version of the pickup is scheduled to go on sale in spring 2023, followed by the retail RST trim in the fall. The Silverado EV will have more than 400 miles of driving range, Super Cruise driver-assist technology and a tow rating of up to 10,000 pounds.

The work truck starts $41,595 including shipping. The RST trim will start at $106,695. After production begins, Chevy plans to reveal a full portfolio with trims ranging from about $50,000 to $80,000.

Expect a freshening of the Silverado EV in 2027.

Sierra EV: The Sierra EV, built at Factory Zero and Orion Assembly in Michigan, likely will go on sale in the second half of 2023. GMC plans to reveal the pickup this year.

Hummer EV SUT: After starting deliveries of Edition 1 in late 2021, GMC will introduce lower trims of the Hummer pickup through spring 2024 before a minor freshening in 2026.

Colorado EV/Canyon EV: Expect electric versions of GM’s midsize pickups in 2026, built at Orion Assembly in Michigan. They will sell alongside the gasoline-powered models.

Tahoe/Yukon EV: Electric ver- sions of the full-size SUVs are expected to go on sale in 2026. They will sell alongside the gasoline-powered models.

Hummer EV SUV: Edition 1 of the Hummer SUV is slated to launch early next year. Lower trim levels will continue to roll out through spring 2024. Expect a minor refresh in 2026.

Express EV/Savana EV: GM is expected to introduce electric versions of its Chevy and GMC commercial vans in 2026. They will likely be built in Wentzville, Mo. GMC plans to add two vehicles to its commercial portfolio: a full-sized battery electric cargo van and a medium-duty truck powered by Ultium batteries and Hydrotec hydrogen fuel-cell technology.

Blazer EV: Chevy plans to launch the electric Blazer in summer 2023. It will be built at Ramos Arizpe Assembly in Mexico. Chevy plans to launch the Blazer EV in a trim-by-trim cadence starting with the 2LT model priced at $47,595 including shipping. Starting prices across trim levels will range from $44,995 to $65,995.

Depending on the trim level, the Blazer EV has a GM-estimated range of 247 to 320 miles on a full charge.
