Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan to get married on June 9, here’s all you need to know

Nayanthara, who was recently seen in the Tamil romantic comedy Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal, directed by her long-term boyfriend Vignesh Shivan, is getting married. Nayanthara and Vignesh, who have been dating for nearly seven years, are set to marry on Thursday, June 9 in Chennai. They met with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin over the weekend and invited him to their wedding.

A photo of Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan with the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister surfaced on social media, showing them handing him a bouquet. Nayanthara was holding the wedding invitation. MK Stalin’s son, actor-producer Udhayanidhi Stalin, was also present. The wedding is expected to take place at a resort near Chennai’s East Coast Road.

Last year, Nayanthara announced her engagement to her live-in partner Vignesh Shivan on regional television. Nayanthara discussed her relationship status as part of the promotion for her film Netrikann. Nayanthara was asked about the ring on her finger during an appearance on a talk show, and she confirmed that she was engaged to Vignesh Shivan.

Nayanthara and Vignesh began dating after working together on his second film, Naanum Rowdydhaan. Vijay Sethupathi also appeared in the film, which was a box office success.

Meanwhile, Vignesh and Nayanthara have recently begun producing. Koozhangal, aka Pebbles, was recently selected for the Shanghai International Film Festival. The film follows a father-son duo who are broken by poverty as they try to find their way in life. It only features newcomers and features music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. After its April release, Vignesh Shivan’s latest directorial Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal was also a box office success. Vijay Sethupathi and Samantha Ruth Prabhu also appeared in the film.
