Ray J Labels Storyline About Kanye West Retrieving Laptop And Hard Drive Containing Sex Tape For Kim Kardashian “A Lie”

Ray J isn’t here for the fake storylines! In a comment made on Instagram, the musician claims that’s exactly what aired on the latest episode of The Kardashians. 

“All of this is a lie smh,” Ray J wrote. “Can’t let them do this anymore. So untrue.”

Ray J made the comment under Hollywood Unlocked’s post featuring the viral video of Kim Kardashian telling her family and team that Kanye West gave her a gift. The gift was a suitcase with a laptop and hard drive inside. Both devices allegedly contained the entire footage of Kim and Ray J’s sex tape, which was leaked in 2007.

Kanye West Tells The Story Of Meeting Ray J

Ye first told this story back in January while interviewing with Hollywood Unlocked’s Jason Lee. He detailed catching a red eye from New York to Los Angeles to meet Ray J at the airport, then catching a flight back to give Kim the content prior to her Saturday Night Live debut.

“How you gonna bring me to SNL and kiss the dude you dating right in front of me,” Kanye said at the time. “And everybody’s like oh that’s cool after I went and got the laptop from Ray J myself that night.”

When Ye first told the story, there was no footage available of the exchange with Ray J or the exchange with Kim. But, this isn’t the first time Ray J has addressed the story. In January, he seemingly spoke the viral conversation surrounding the sex tape.

“This needs to stop. I also have kids,” Ray J tweeted in January.

As you may already know, Ray J and Princess Love share two children together, Melody and Epik.

In 2021, Wack 100 had fueled rumors about an unseen version of the raunchy film while speaking on Bootleg Kev’s podcast. The entrepreneur also responded to Wack 100’s claims back then saying “this isn’t cool.”

Ray J continued, “I been staying off the raydar–just staying focused and being humble and thankful for all the blessings I’m receiving –how can I show growth and maturity if this kinda stuff keeps happening? I’m a father now and my job is to be a great parent and put them first. This is not the message I want to send out — smh.”

 

Kanye West Denies He Paid To Recover The Laptop And Hard Drive

In The Kardashians latest episode, Kim is seen in what appears to be happy tears–as Kanye described in January.

“I know Kanye did this for me, but he also did this for my kids,” Kim said on the new episode. “I want to shield them from as much as I can. And if I have the power to or if Kanye has the power to like that is just the most important thing to me.”

Kris Jenner is also seen thanking Kanye for “his unbelievable way he does things, and the ability to get something done.” She also jokes that it must’ve cost Ye “a big, fat, huge check.” But, Ye shut those thoughts down with the quickness.

“Oh, definitely not no check. We not getting extorted ever again,” Ye said.

After The Shade Room reposted Ray J’s latest critique, comedian Lil Duval offered some thoughts of his own on the situation.

“The wild part is y’all gon keep watching and the rating gon keep going up cuz y’all slow,” Lil Duval commented on Instagram.
