Whether you’re looking for a luxury SUV with a sporty edge or a capable vehicle with plenty of luxury features, the new Cadillac Escalade can deliver. From its powerful 3.0-liter turbo-diesel inline-6 engine to its independent rear suspension design, the 2021 Cadillac Escalade offers many new features.
Compared to its predecessor, the 2021 Cadillac Escalade boasts a more comprehensive and longer wheelbase, more legroom in the third row, and more cargo space. Its new independent rear suspension design also gives the cabin a higher degree of spaciousness.
The new Escalade also offers more safety features, including a rear pedestrian alert system and automatic emergency braking. This system also incorporates LIDAR mapping. Adaptive cruise control is also available. In addition, the Escalade can be equipped with semi-autonomous parking assistance.
The Escalade’s interior is filled with luxury and technology. It includes heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats. The interior is also home to a 36-speaker sound system. Three curved OLED screens add up to 38 inches of diagonal screen space.
The Escalade has a navigation system with a 14.2-inch cluster display among the standard features. It also features wireless Apple CarPlay. In addition, the new Escalade’s stereo is also tied to the navigation system.
GM’s new 2021 Cadillac Escalade will offer the world’s first curved OLED display in a production vehicle. This feature provides an innovative way to interact with the Escalade and offers twice the pixel density of a 4K television. The new display also offers a broader range of colors than traditional screens.
The Escalade’s new curved OLED display sits in the center of the interior and offers three displays that show essential driving information. According to Cadillac, it also has the most extensive color range of any automotive collection. It will also provide perfect blacks and high-resolution imagery.
The interior of the Escalade is designed to feel like a luxury SUV. Premium materials and an integrated look help to make the Escalade feel like a proper luxury vehicle. It also features massage seats and a custom audio system.
Escalade passengers can also connect to Escalade’s 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot to enjoy a range of content from Android devices. In addition, they can also stream content from the Escalade’s rear entertainment screens.
GM has given another shot at diesel power in an all-new 2021 Cadillac Escalade SUV. The 3.0-liter turbo-diesel inline 6-cylinder engine makes 277 horsepower. It’s an upgrade over the 6.2-liter small-block gas V8 and matches it in torque.
The 3.0-liter engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. This enables the Escalade to shift smoothly and doesn’t feel rushed. However, it isn’t the quickest transmission.
Cadillac is making this diesel engine available on all Escalade trims. In addition to adding more fuel economy, the 3.0-liter engine has added towing capability.
A GM 10L80 10-speed automatic transmission powers the engine. It is EPA rated for 33 mpg highway. Its redline is over 5,000 rpm. It also has extra gears to minimize the time spent at the top of its rev range.
GM says it will resume production as soon as possible. But for now, you’ll have to wait. The Escalade diesel will be available in the Sport, Premium Luxury, and Platinum versions. Each is available with four-wheel drive.
GM’s 2021 Cadillac Escalade features an advanced hands-free driving-assistance system. In addition to providing a relaxing and stress-free experience, Super Cruise also makes long road trips more enjoyable. It manages acceleration, braking, and lane centering.
The new Escalade’s driver assistance system relies on a combination of radar sensors, cameras, and LiDAR map data to provide hands-free operation on certain freeways. It also offers Lane Change on Demand, allowing the driver to change lanes without touching the wheel.
Super Cruise is standard on all Escalade trim levels. The Luxury edition begins at $77,000 and goes up to $101,290. The Platinum Sport edition is not available with extra features.
Cadillac Escalade features an innovative interior with nine different trim options. It features unique seat-insert designs, varied perforation patterns, and luxurious appointments. It also offers an augmented reality-enabled navigation system and dual 12.6-inch rear-seat entertainment screens.
Cadillac Escalade’s driver assistance technology uses a network of cameras, high-precision GPS, and a state-of-the-art driver attention system. It is designed to help rival Tesla Autopilot. It also monitors traffic and is designed to help avoid collisions.
