15 Best Amazon Pet Day Deals: Pet Cameras, Robot Vacuums, and Pet Toys

[ad_1]

We celebrate our pets all year, but May is National Pet Month, and Amazon is kicking it off with a day of deals. Plus, with Mother’s Day right around the corner, now is the perfect time to give a gift to the pet parents in your life—yourself included! From toys and treats to TikTok-trending accessories, some of our favorites are on sale.

Special offer for Gear readers: Get a 1-year subscription to WIRED for $5 ($25 off). This includes unlimited access to WIRED.com and our print magazine (if you’d like). Subscriptions help fund the work we do every day.

Pet Camera Deals

Furbo Dog Camera

Furbo’s Dog Camera (9/10, WIRED Recommends) tops our list of pet cams. It includes a barking alert that sends push notifications to your phone if your pup is talking so you can check in to make sure all is well. Furbo includes a reservoir to hold treats for you to dispense from your phone, too.

I (Medea) have been testing this camera, and while it’s marketed toward dogs, my treat-loving cats love it too. It’s bigger than other cameras I’ve used, but its reservoir holds treats for dispensing while you’re away (it does shoot them out with vigor). Unlike the Furbo camera above, this one rotates 270 degrees for you to see more of the room. That said, we’d be remiss to not mention Eufy’s recent security incident in which users were able to briefly access other Eufy owners’ cameras. The company quickly patched the glitch.

Nooie’s panning camera is one of our favorite security cameras. If you want to save some money and don’t need a camera that dispenses treats, it’s a perfectly good option to monitor your pets. I love its matte, off-white design, which is a pleasant reprieve from most shiny white cameras.

Robot Vacuum Deals

You’re probably here to get the best of the best for your pet, but you deserve the best to keep your house clean, too. iRobot’s Roomba J7+ is our absolute favorite robot vacuum. Your floors will never look finer, even if Fluffy and Fido run amok all day. The suction is powerful, the tubes don’t get clogged with furballs, and the app allows you to program the areas you want it to clean and when.

This robot vacuum normally costs around $1,300, and if you click the on-page coupon, you’ll get an extra $200 off the already discounted price. Most pets aren’t particularly fond of vacuums, especially if they wander around on their own. The Samsung Jet Bot AI+ is silent and sneaky, maneuvering adroitly throughout your home. Its cumbersome size is questionable, but it left WIRED senior associate editor Adrienne So’s floors pristine while her pup slept soundly all the while.

Shedding doesn’t stop after you’ve vacuumed. In our experience, it somehow speeds up. With 100 hours of battery life, the Yeedi k650 Robot Vacuum is Alexa-enabled so you can call on it to clean up fur and dander whenever you need. It won’t have the mapping capabilities, suction power, or general adeptness of the vacs above, but it also costs significantly less. More money to spend on (hu)man’s best friend!

Water Fountain Deals

Catit makes quality cat products, and we’ve used and recommended a few of its fountains. This one includes three water-flow settings, thanks to the removable flower attachment. Removing the flower altogether creates a gentle flow of water. Using just the white body of the flower gives a bubbling effect, and the entire flower creates a nice stream that cats that like to drink from the faucet may enjoy. The smaller 2.0 Mini fountain is also discounted to $17 ($6 off).

We haven’t tested this fountain yet, but Petkit is a respected brand and this model gets good reviews online. The body is plastic, but the top bowl is stainless steel. Dogs may prefer the open design of this one, rather than the small flower of the Catit fountain below.

Waste Disposal Deals

To take advantage of this sale, you’ll need to subscribe to automatic refills ranging from every two weeks to six months. This isn’t a bad idea, as you’ll go through them quickly. A Litter Genie can be a lifesaver for cat owners, since you can scoop the box every day, giving kitty a clean place to do their business, without actually having to take the garbage out every day. As with a diaper genie, waste goes in the top compartment, and pulling the lever drops it into the bottom where odors are contained.

Dogs poop. Unless you’re looking to make enemies of all your neighbors or leave unwelcome surprises in your backyard, that poop needs to be picked up. The Earth Rated Dog Poop Bags are a tried and true brand my husband and I (Haley) use regularly, and they’ve never failed me, an absolute germaphobe. Each bag is made out of recycled materials, so you don’t have to feel as bad about tossing them in the trash. You can save a few cents more if you subscribe.

DNA Test Deals

Photograph: Embark

Embark was the most informative of the three dog DNA tests WIRED tried, but it was also the most expensive. The company offers quizzes for you to take too, so you can see if you need to adjust any of your habits. You can even find your dog’s cousins!

WIRED reviewer Louryn Strampe and I (Medea) both used Basepaws with our cats and were impressed with just how much information we got back. The PDFs are nearly 70 pages, with detailed breed info and health markers, including a separate section on tooth health. I learned my cat Eely-Rue is at risk of periodontal disease, so I took her for a cleaning.

Pet Accessory Deals

This is another deal you’ll need to subscribe to in order to get this price on your first order. However, this one normally costs about $35, so the current $20 price without the subscription savings is a deal if you’re just interested in trying it. WIRED writer Louryn Strampe likes this for calming anxiety in her cats. She says it smells better and works faster than others she’s tried. You can spray a pet carrier, car, or blanket, then just wait 15 minutes before letting kitty explore.

A dog’s worst enemy—the dreaded bath—could get a lot easier with this shower accessory. I’m (Haley) testing dozens of dog accessories at the moment, and this caught my eye during my research. The hose connects to your shower and uses a handheld, scrubby attachment to release water; you can scrub your pup with it at the same time. It comes with an adapter so you can attach the Aquapaw hose and easily switch back and forth between it and your regular showerhead. The smaller version is also discounted to $21 ($4 off).

If your TikTok For You Page is full of any and all pets, like ours is, you’ve probably seen this flopping fish entertaining dogs and cats alike. Some love it, some hate it, but one thing is sure—watching your pets play with it is hilarious. You can choose between a few types of fish, and all are slightly discounted right now.
